Men's Ministries

The Men's Group is designed to encourage Christian brotherhood and fellowship among all men associated with Central Christian Church. Our goal is to create opportunities for us to have fun together, create stronger friendships, and to support each other in our daily walks with God.

The Men's Group is not intended to be another church service or yet another "meeting" scheduled to fill a slot on your calendar.

We try our best to do "Guy Stuff" and are open to any type of event that interests you. Previous activities include:

  • Fishing trips to Lake Texoma,
  • Attending Fort Worth Cat's baseball games,
  • Visiting a Classic/Hot-rod Car show,
  • Hosting a church-wide Chili Cook-off,
  • Service projects to improve our church campus.

Our activities are open to all men of the church and a friend or guest is always welcome to attend.

“Transforming Women’s Ministries”

March 23 - 25, 2012

Athens Texas

Rev. Deborah Morgan Stokes is a native Dallasite who graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1980. She attended TCU where she received her B.S. in Education, and spent three years teaching public school at L. G. Pinkston High School in West Dallas.

During her time as a teacher, Deborah’s call to ministry intensified, and so, acknowledging Christ’s invitation, she made her way to Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN, where she completed her Masters of Divinity degree and was ordained in 1990 at her home congregation, Northway Christian Church.

First Christian Church of Waynesboro, TN., was Deborah’s first call after seminary. She came to East Dallas Christian Church in 2006 after 14 years of ministry serving Saguaro Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona. Deborah loves her work with this historic congregation-in-transformation, and gives thanks for God’s call that brought her home to the North Texas Area. Deborah is recently married to Don Stokes.

She feels this is proof that miracles still happen!

SMALL GROUPS

God didn't design us to live our lives alone. He created us for relationship with Him and with others. We were made to be part of a community-a group of people living life together.

At Central, we believe the best environment for lasting life change takes place within community and small groups.

Great small groups are available for ALL ages at Central.
